“We will most likely sign a firm contract with our partner here in India, who will be responsible for the production of these aircraft in India. Most likely, there will be either a three-party contract, or we will supply to the partner, and the partner will sell,” he concluded.

At the same forum, the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency, Dmitry Yadrov, announced that work would soon begin to begin certification of new Russian aircraft in India.

Certification of the SJ-100 is expected in the first quarter of 2027, while the Il-114-300 received its type certificate in June this year. In July, the government allocated 2.6 billion rubles for the modification of the first three aircraft, one of which they want to put into operation by the end of the year. After this, in 2028, the manufacturer intends to produce six more aircraft in order to further move to the level of 12 aircraft per year.
