Sri Lanka Recovers Against West Indies on Day 3

The recovery - With the team reeling at five down, Sonal Dinusha joined skipper Dhananjaya de Silva, and the duo completely changed the script. Instead of shutting shop, they played with freedom and put the pressure right back on the Windies bowlers. By the time the tea bell rang, De Silva had anchored his way to a brilliant 76, while Dinusha looked rock solid on 41. Their unbroken fightback carried Sri Lanka to 204/5, ensuring the second session ended just as evenly poised as the first. Join us at 7 am GMT after the Tea Break.

A quick word- Justin Greaves starts off saying that they are doing well, but they need to bowl a little bit better as their opposition are batting really well. On being asked about changes in condition on the track, he replies that there are no major changes, but he feels that they need to bowl with more consistency. On being questioned about their game plan for the next session, he comments that they need to pick up wickets, which will obviously put there oppoition under pressure.

Shamar's double blow rocked the Lankans! Resuming after lunch at 95/3, Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva began with caution. But just as they looked to settle, Shamar Joseph ripped the session wide open with a devastating over. He first dismissed the well-set Chandimal for 54 and then removed Kusal Mendis just a few balls later. This sudden double-strike sent shockwaves through the Sri Lankan dressing room, turning the momentum squarely back in favor of the West Indies.
