台北市警察局長林炎田在昨天晚上前往中山分局，主持這次專案的勤前教育，林炎田在會中提醒同仁注意執勤三安與執法程序正義，更關心同仁執勤安全裝備及辛勞慰勉。
北市警指出，為了打擊毒駕，將採取「全面發動、精準攔查」之高強度路檢勤務，強化攔查可疑車輛及駕駛人，針對高發熱點滾動式調整勤務地點與時段。昨晚專案啟動首日動員警力500人，共計查獲毒品案19件，其中販賣毒品1件、持有毒品11件、毒駕7件。
北市警說，針對近年氾濫的依托咪酯類「喪屍煙毒」，警方會持續加強查緝力道，全面掃蕩毒品分裝場及販售、持有毒煙彈等不法行為。針對毒駕案件將逐案積極向上溯源、全面阻斷導致高肇事風險之毒品供應來源，從源頭及犯罪工具端雙向打擊，遏止毒品流入市面，防制毒駕危害擴散。
北市警統計，今年1月至今，北市警查獲依托咪酯類毒品犯嫌804件、819人，破獲混合式毒品分裝場97件，查獲毒駕632件。
林炎田強調，毒駕不僅危害自身，更可能造成無辜民眾傷亡，民眾切勿心存僥倖，以身試法；政府從唾篩檢測工具、取締程序與法令依據，都全面提升員警的執法專業能力，警方對於毒品犯罪及毒駕行為絕不寬貸。
