Tether gets KPMG's green light for its 2025 budget, the first comprehensive review in its history

Kpmg gives green light to Tether's 2025 budget. For the stablecoin issuer, based in El Salvador, this is the first truly complete overhaul in its history. "The audit, completed in accordance with applicable professional standards, represents one of the most significant milestones in Tether's history and is also the largest inaugural audit ever. Completed on a large scale and to the highest standards, it sets a new benchmark for financial oversight in the stablecoin market." KPMG has issued an "unqualified" audit opinion, the group further underlines, which means that, "in KPMG's opinion, the financial statements present fairly, in all material respects, the financial position of the Company as of December 31, 2025, as well as the results of operations and cash flows for the year ended December 31, 2025, in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States. The audit complements Tether's existing quarterly reserve reporting by examining the transactions, systems, ownership records, valuations, counterparties and evidence supporting the Company's financial statements. An unqualified opinion - that is, an opinion issued without qualifications, exceptions or caveats - is the most positive form of opinion that an independent auditor can issue", highlights the issuer.
