Trump's Physician Reports 'Excellent Health' After Annual Medical Exam

US President Donald Trump's presidential physician said the leader remains "in excellent health" following an annual medical examination at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland. Trump underwent a series of cardiac, respiratory, neurological and other types of tests during a visit to the facility earlier this week. In a memo released by the White House on Friday, Capt. Sean Barbabella, Trump's official physician, said the results showed the president was "fully fit to carry out all duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State". "President Trump remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function," the memo says. "His demanding daily schedule, including multiple high-level meetings, public engagements, and regular physical activity, continues to support his overall well-being," it continued. It added that Trump's "cognitive and physical performance are excellent". The memo also noted "scarring of the right ear consistent with prior gunshot injury" and offered an explanation for bruising that has often appeared on Trump's right hand since his return to the White House. "Examination of the dorsal hands revealed ecchymosis (bruising), consistent with minor soft tissue irritation related to frequent handshaking in the setting of aspirin use for cardiovascular prevention," the memo said. Trump, who is set to turn 80 this summer, had posted to Truth Social following his examination on Tuesday, boasting that "everything checked out perfectly". According to his results, the president weighed 238 pounds, which is around 108 kg, during his medical, up from last year. The memo said Trump had been provided with "preventative counseling" and guidance on diet and weight loss.
