Venezuela's Oil and the History of Latin America

“The Open Veins of Latin America” was the title of a left-wing combat publication from the 1970s. The Uruguayan Eduardo Galeano describes how the continent was robbed of its natural resources by the colonial powers over the centuries. An insight that has led to upheavals and bloody revolutions.
