Mutual Attacks Between Houthis and Government Forces in Yemen

Houthi Military Spokesperson Yahya Seri stated in his statement that the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out the attack with two UAVs.

Seri claimed that the first of the UAVs used in the attacks hit a "sensitive enemy target" at Najran Airport, and the second hit a target belonging to the Saudi Arabian state oil company Aramco in Najran.

Arguing that both attacks successfully reached their targets, Seri stated that the attacks were carried out in response to Saudi Arabia violating the airspace of Yemen's Saada province with UAVs.

Seri stated that the Yemeni Armed Forces will continue to "protect" the country's sovereignty from "any violations" and maintain this situation.

Yemen army: 81 operations carried out against the Houthis in the last 24 hours

It was reported that the Yemeni army carried out 81 operations in the last 24 hours against the positions and targets of the Iranian-backed Houthis in various cities of the country.

Yemen Armed Forces Spokesperson Colonel Majid Abdullah al-Nezili made the statement on the social media platform of US-based company X.

Nezili noted that the army carried out 81 operations against Houthis' military positions and threat sources in the last 24 hours.

The Yemeni official stated that the operations "resulted in the neutralization of many field commanders and elements of the terrorist organization Houthi, and the destruction of many equipment and vehicles, as well as threat sources."

"These operations are part of a series of retaliatory measures taken by our armed forces against repeated Houthi terrorist attacks against the resources and interests of the Yemeni people. By deliberately targeting civilian areas, the Houthis are besieging the Yemeni people and increasing the suffering of the people," Nezili said. he said.

There is no statement yet from the Houthis regarding the statements of the Yemeni army.

The civil war in Yemen, which started about 12 years ago, continues between the Houthis and government forces, who have been under control of some parts of the country, including the capital Sanaa, since September 21, 2014.

While there has been a relatively calm period between the parties since April 2022, conflicts have intensified again in various regions, especially Marib, Cevf, Dali and Taiz, in recent weeks.

Yemen is facing one of the world's most severe humanitarian and economic crises.
