據了解，這對年輕夫妻近幾週才從北部縣市搬來台中，在外縣市就被列為高風險家庭，有領取托育補助，並無其他救補助，近幾週搬來台中後，台中社工積極關懷家庭狀況，訪視夫妻及女嬰並無異狀，女嬰健康正常，並約定陪同到衛生所打預防針卻失約，夫妻電話一直打不通失聯。
