Federal Judge Apologizes to Former Law Clerk for Misconduct
U.S. District Judge Eleanor Ross apologized to a former law clerk for "harmful, offensive, and unprofessional behavior," including sexual activity in her chambers and lying about it. An investigation confirmed allegations of sex in the courthouse and initial denial of claims. Ross received a private reprimand and agreed to write apology letters to former clerks. Impeachment resolutions have been filed against her.
