Adani Group has paid the first installment of ₹6,000 crore towards its ₹14,535 crore resolution plan for Jaiprakash Associates, marking a significant step in a long-running insolvency case after judicial clearance.
Dalmia Bharat is acquiring Jaiprakash Associates' cement business from Adani Group for ₹2,850 crore, adding 5.2 million tonnes of capacity. The deal, expected to close soon, will boost Dalmia Bharat's total capacity to 66.7 million tonnes by FY28, strengthening its pan-India presence.
Dalmia Bharat will acquire Jaiprakash Associates' cement assets for over Rs 2,500 crore, settling past disputes. Adani Group, which acquired JAL under insolvency, is also integrating other businesses, including fertilizer and power assets.
