Saros Review: A Bullet-Hell Roguelike That Rewards Death and Persistence

Saros is a punishing but rewarding roguelike action game set on the alien world of Carcosa, where players control space security officer Arjun Devraj (Rahul Kohli) searching for missing colonists. The game features a compelling death-and-upgrade loop where dying reconfigures the world and strengthens your character through armor upgrades. Combat is frantic and chaotic, with diverse weapons creating explosive firework-like encounters. While the obsession theme resonates and voice acting impresses, poorly framed static conversations limit character development, leaving the story feeling somewhat disjointed.
