NYC Police Release Body Cam Footage of Officers Fatally Shooting Machete-Wielding Man at Grand Central Subway
New York City police released body-worn camera footage showing detectives Ryan Giuffre and Anthony Manetta shooting and killing Anthony Griffin, 44, who stabbed three people at the 42nd Street-Grand Central subway station on April 11. Officers ordered Griffin to drop his knife at least 20 times before firing two shots. Griffin, who said "Shoot me" and "I am Lucifer" during the confrontation, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The three victims, ages 84, 65 and 70, sustained significant lacerations to the head and face and a skull fracture, though their injuries were not life-threatening.
