Berlin's Soviet Memorials: A Political Play or Historical Revisionism?

Berlin authorities are proposing to add plaques to Soviet memorials, criticizing Joseph Stalin. This initiative, aimed at "critical contextualization," has drawn criticism from Germany and post-Soviet countries, who view it as an attempt to alter the original meaning of the monuments and a move to create an image of Russia as an enemy. The Russian Embassy in Germany called the attempts "unacceptable and blasphemous."
