Construction Workers Rescue Over a Dozen After Cruise Boat Capsizes at Bargi Dam, 9 Dead
At least 9 tourists died after a cruise boat capsized at Bargi Dam in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Construction workers from a nearby Jaal Jeevan Mission project immediately jumped into the choppy waters, forming human chains and using ropes to rescue over a dozen passengers in the critical early minutes before professional rescuers arrived. Among the heroes was 22-year-old Ramzan from West Bengal who jumped from a 25-foot rocky ledge and saved 6 people. The state government announced Rs 51,000 cash reward for each rescuer.
