Florida AG James Uthmeier is investigating the NFL's Rooney Rule and other employment practices for potential civil rights violations. The league is cooperating with a subpoena demanding documents related to diversity and coaching staff demographics.
Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije, 47, has withdrawn her tribunal claims against Dan Walker and their employers ITN and Channel 5 after reaching a mutual agreement. She had filed claims of unfair dismissal, discrimination and harassment on grounds of race and sex, and breach of contract. The case, which was due to be heard at an employment tribunal in London, has been dismissed. Walker said he was fully prepared to defend the allegations. ITN and Channel 5 denied the claims and paid an undisclosed settlement with no admission of liability.
