Keir Starmer convened an emergency meeting in Downing Street after a double stabbing in Golders Green that police are treating as terrorism. The prime minister said an attack on the Jewish community is an attack on all of us, as he pledged additional security funding. The suspect is a 45-year-old British national born in Somalia who allegedly targeted visibly Jewish people. Two victims, aged 34 and 76, remain in stable condition in hospital. The government announced £25m in extra security funding for Jewish communities and plans to fast-track legislation against state-sponsored threats.
