João Fonseca perde na estreia do Masters 1000 de Roma e é eliminado

O brasileiro João Fonseca perdeu na estreia do Master 1000 de Roma para o sérvio Hamad Medjedovic (67º do ranking mundial) por 2 sets a 1, com parciais de 6 x 3, 3 x 6 e 6 x 7 (1/7). Com o resultado da tarde deste sábado (9), no Foro Itálico, em Roma, o tenista de apenas 19 anos (29º do ranking mundial), que havia entrado diretamente na segunda rodada como cabeça de chave, foi eliminado do torneio. Agora, o brasileiro começa a preparação para Roland Garros. O Grand Slam de saibro, ocorrerá de 18 de maio a 7 de junho de 2026, no Stade Roland Garros, em Paris, França.
