衛生局表示，以往聘有外籍看護工家庭，若想讓被照顧者到日照中心參與復能、社交活動，只能申請「喘息服務」或「短照服務」補助，受限於補助額度，常使服務難以持續密集或靈活安排照顧資源。長照3.0放寬聘僱外看家庭使用「日間照顧」與「家庭托顧」補助措施，每月增加3006至1萬854元的給付額度。
