At least two US US military tanker aircraft have been spotted over the Persian Gulf amid reports of an operation by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to neutralize the enemy in the Strait of Hormuz area, a source in Middle Eastern air traffic control circles told TASS.
"At present, the flight of at least two US Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker military transport aircraft is being recorded over the neutral waters of the Persian Gulf," the agency's interlocutor said.
He explained that the aircraft are flying in a circular trajectory at an altitude of about 8.5 km, including using corridors established for civilian aviation flights.
One of the aircraft, according to the source, is flying in close proximity to the border of the air zone controlled by Iranian dispatchers.
In addition, the source told TASS that another aircraft of this type is in the area of the Persian Gulf coast.
