Veterans Occupy Cannon House Office Building to Protest U.S. War with Iran

Veterans and military families occupied the Cannon House Office Building in Washington D.C. to protest the U.S. war with Iran, resulting in 66 arrests. The demonstration, organized by groups including About Face and Veterans For Peace, drew participants concerned about parallels to the Iraq war. Since the war began on Feb. 28, approximately 50,000 American troops have been deployed, with 13 killed and 400 wounded. A Reuters/Ipsos poll found 60% of Americans disapprove of the military strikes.
