British Athlete Jess Warner Judd Overcomes Seizure to Make London Marathon Debut
Jess Warner Judd, a 31-year-old British long-distance runner, will make her London Marathon debut on Sunday after overcoming a traumatic seizure during the European Championships final in Rome in June 2024. The athlete from Canvey Island, Essex, who placed eighth in the world over 10,000m less than 10 months earlier, collapsed with 600m to go and was later diagnosed with focal epilepsy. After a year of therapy and recovery, she aims to complete a full-circle moment 14 years after winning her fourth Mini London Marathon.
