إيران تنديد بشدة بالضربات الأمريكية على مواقع رادار في جنوب البلاد، وتصف الهجوم بانتهاك اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار. According to CNN, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that its forces struck radar monitoring sites in the region "to defend against further maritime attacks" after Iran launched drones toward the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that the targeted facilities were "dedicated to protecting the country's borders and ensuring the safety of international maritime navigation". The ministry described the US strike as a "blatant violation" of the April 8 ceasefire agreement and an "aggressive military action against the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the security of its territory". Iran's armed forces responded to the US strikes in a "vigilant, firm, and proportionate" manner. The Iranian Foreign Ministry indicated that the latest US strikes show a lack of willingness to reduce tensions and are part of a broader pattern of "hostile and provocative behavior" by the United States towards Iran.

The US strikes targeted radar and surveillance sites in Iran’s southern regions of Yerek and Qeshm Island, which Iran says are used to protect its borders and ensure maritime safety in international waterways. CENTCOM said the strikes were in response to an Iranian drone attack near the Strait of Hormuz, a critical oil shipping lane.
