Legal Aid Staffer Pleads Guilty to Helping Convicted Killer Flee Parole
A former Northern Territory legal aid staffer, Samantha Alampi, has pleaded guilty to attempting to pervert the course of justice after helping a convicted killer evade parole in Alice Springs. Alampi assisted the 19-year-old parolee, who was serving time for manslaughter, in absconding after he removed his ankle monitor. She was found with him in a hotel room and later arrested.
