Giants Eye Former Lions DT D.J. Reader After Losing Dexter Lawrence to Bengals
The New York Giants are expected to sign veteran defensive tackle D.J. Reader after the NFL draft concludes, per reports. The Giants initially planned to pair Reader with Dexter Lawrence, but Lawrence was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals over the weekend. Reader, whose $27.25 million contract with the Detroit Lions just expired, visited New York last week. The Giants went just 4-13 in the 2025 season and are looking to rebuild their roster.
