Peter Murrell, former CEO of the Scottish National Party and husband of Nicola Sturgeon, has been sentenced to five years and three months in prison for embezzling over £400,000. He admitted to the crime, which he committed over 12 years, using the stolen funds for luxury items. Murrell covered his tracks through false accounting and falsified invoices.
