Police in Thailand have arrested a 33-year-old Indonesian man at a luxury resort in Phuket for allegedly defrauding Americans of approximately US$10 million through phoney investment schemes using models on video calls, dating apps and social media. The suspect was arrested on Friday following a tip-off from the FBI, which had informed Thai authorities he travelled from Dubai to Thailand on Wednesday.
