得標的台灣人壽表示，預計興建6棟建築，包括3棟商旅、1棟都更及健身中心、2棟出租住宅，並規劃支持以澄清湖棒球場為主場的職棒球隊，推動運動觀光。
議員邱俊憲昨天下午針對此議題，於總質詢時詢問市府最新進度。高雄市祕書長郭添貴表示，近日已與得標者（台灣人壽）進行議約，今年會完成簽約。針對球迷最關心的球場大螢幕，也確定會於下個球季前完成更新，並完成認養棒球場。
邱俊憲指出，運專區新建築物中，將會有1千坪的鳥松區國民運動中心；球場附近的公墓，明年也會開始啟動整理，早日改善環境；另針對澄清湖棒球場有鳥害問題，他建議可用雷射驅鳥器，運發局正研議可行性。
根據運發局規劃，澄清湖棒球場外野區大螢幕，將從雙螢幕整合成單一巨大型螢幕，長38.4公尺、高8.65公尺的豪華觀賽畫面，明年將為球迷帶來全新的觀賽體驗。
