スマホなどの高価買い取りが期間限定かのように表示し、消費者に誤認させたとして、消費者庁は11日、全国に約1千店舗を展開する買い取り販売大手「ゲオストア」（名古屋市中区）に対し、景品表示法に基づく措置命令を出した。

景品表示法は、商品などの取引で実際より著しく有利と消費者に誤認させる表示を禁じている。買い取りサービスに対して措置命令が出たのは初めてという。

公正取引委員会事務総局中部事務所によると、ゲオストアは2025年5～11月、スマホやタブレット端末を期間限定で通常より最大20％高く買い取ると、SNSやウェブサイトで宣伝し、「キャンペーン中がおすすめ」などと表示した。ところが、実際は期間後も同じ条件で買い取りをしていた。

ゲオストア広報課の担当者は「多大なご迷惑をおかけし深くおわびします。処分を真摯（しんし）に受け止め再発防止に努めます」としている。
