
Mohsen Rezaei Appointed Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council
Mohsen Rezaei, a co-founder of Iran's IRGC, has been appointed secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, granting him authority over Tehran's strategic decisions. Rezaei, 71, succeeds Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr and brings a controversial legacy, including alleged ties to the 1994 AMIA bombing and criticism over Operation Karbala-4 during the Iran-Iraq War.
