A resident of a Russian region stepped on an explosive device and did not survive

A resident of the Bryansk region stepped on an explosive device that was dropped from a UAV and did not survive. Governor Yegor Kovalchuk announced this in his Telegram channel.

The tragedy occurred in the Zhukovsky district. Kovalchuk expressed condolences to the man’s family and assured that they would be provided with all the necessary assistance.

The governor warned that recently the enemy has become more likely to remotely drop explosive devices using drones. This often happens in fields, forests and on forest roads. In this regard, the official urged people to avoid going to the forest in areas adjacent to the NWO zone, as well as where there are official restrictions on visiting forests. In addition, he strongly recommended following messages from local authorities and operational warnings, as well as explaining to children and elderly relatives that any unfamiliar object in the forest can pose a danger to life.

“If you find an object that looks like ammunition or a mine, do not approach it, touch it or try to move it. (...) Move to a safe distance, report the find to emergency services by calling 112, describing the location as accurately as possible,” Kovalchuk described the procedure.
