Seoul City signs agreement with police and rights advocacy organizations to prevent abuse of the disabled and protect victims

The city of Seoul announced on the 21st that it will sign an agreement with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Rights Protection Agency for the Rights of the Disabled at City Hall on the 22nd to prevent abuse of the disabled and protect victims of the disabled.

According to this agreement, which was made on the occasion of 'Prevention Day of Abuse of Persons with Disabilities' (June 22nd), which was designated as a statutory anniversary for the first time this year, the three organizations decided to share information to prevent and respond to abuse of persons with disabilities and to provide follow-up management.

We also carry out related promotional activities and projects. On the afternoon of the 22nd, a training session co-hosted by the city and the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Disabled Rights Advocacy Agency will be held at Seoul City Oullim Plaza.

Professor Lee Dong-seok of the Department of Social Welfare at Daegu University will educate heads of social welfare facilities and representatives of social welfare corporations on the topic of 'Restoration of the rights of the disabled and prevention of abuse.'
