Cuban President: US blockade has reached unbearable levels

President Miguel Diaz-Canel said the US blockade of Cuba had reached an intolerable level.

Havana again intends to bring the issue of lifting sanctions to the UN General Assembly for consideration.

MEXICO CITY, July 2 - RIA Novosti. The blockade of Cuba by the United States has reached an unbearable level; it is aimed at provoking a social explosion in the republic, so Havana again intends to bring the issue of lifting sanctions to the UN General Assembly, said President Miguel Diaz-Canel.

“Because we believe in multilateralism and in the UN as a mechanism for resolving conflicts, and because the blockade has reached an intolerable level with the aim of provoking a social explosion, we will return to the General Assembly,” Díaz-Canel wrote on the social network X.
