The Central Meteorological Administration predicts that the weather will be stable in various places from today (27th) to Wednesday, with warm and hot conditions during the day. Only sporadic rainfall will occur in the mountainous areas in the afternoon. Starting from October, from Thursday to Saturday, affected by the northeast monsoon, the windward side will turn to rain, and the daytime temperature will also drop slightly, turning to wet and cool weather.

Meteorological Administration forecaster Liu Peiteng said that Typhoon Shuliki is currently located about 600 kilometers east of Taipei. It intensified into a mid-stage storm at 8 o'clock yesterday evening and moved roughly northeastward. It passed through the southwest side of the Ryukyu Islands today and will reach the sea south of Japan tomorrow. Some areas, such as Greater Taipei and the western half of the mountainous areas, may have localized high temperatures.

Liu Peiteng said that starting in October, the northeast monsoon strengthened slightly on Thursday, and the windward side turned to sporadic local rainfall on the north coast of Keelung and Yilan. Mountainous areas and southern areas experienced sporadic local rainfall in the afternoon. On Friday and Saturday, the northeast monsoon continued to be affected. The windward areas north and east of Taoyuan would experience local rainfall, and some southern areas and central mountainous areas experienced mainly afternoon rainfall. Under the influence of the northeast monsoon, the temperature in the central and southern parts will not change much. The daytime temperature in the north and eastern half of Taoyuan on the windward side will slightly drop to 29 to 30 degrees compared to the 33 and 34 degrees in the past few days.

Liu Peiteng reminded that during the annual spring tide, the high tide level along the coast from New Taipei to Changhua and Penghu is higher, so pay attention to the seawater intrusion in low-lying areas.
