"AI has had a huge impact on the film and television industry, and many practitioners are deeply confused." Zhang Xianfeng, a first-level screenwriter and president of the Hengdian Film and Television Freelancers Association (referred to as "Hengying Association"), said bluntly in an interview.

"In the past, everyone was scattered among various crews and lacked a sense of belonging. But Hengying Club has built an exclusive 'home'." Speaking of Hengying Club, Yu Yang, a non-partisan and "post-85s" actor, expressed his true feelings when interviewed.
Ten years ago, Yu Yang came to Hengdian from Beijing to film and became attached to this hot land. He said frankly that in his early years of filming, he would "leave right after filming" and most of the problems he encountered would be solved by himself. Over the years, Yu Yang has gradually transformed from an actor to a director, producer, and producer, and has also witnessed the iterative development of the film and television industry. He knows that for most practitioners, it is very heart-warming to have an organization to rely on when encountering difficulties.
As the world's largest live-action film and television shooting base, Hengdian has more than 15,000 film and television freelancers active every year, covering all types of work in the industry. In order to better serve this group, the local Hengying Association was established in 2025, forming four alliances of creators, actors, craftsmen, and short dramas, and establishing multiple exchange positions such as "Hengying·Tongxinhui".

"Once a year, for 23 consecutive years." When asked about the most impressive Huimin performance, Wang Jiabao, a 79-year-old member of the Democratic League and honorary chairman of the Shaoxing Dramatists Association, fondly recalled that special "leprosy village."
Since 2003, Wang Jiabao has been on time for appointments every year to give special theatrical performances to local leprosy survivors in Shaoxing. “More than 200 patients were first treated and recovered here, and I was touched by their smiles at that time,” Wang Jiabao recalled.
After the story of sending operas to the countryside spread, Zhou Shuixiang, a Hong Kong compatriot from Shaoxing, was deeply moved. He donated 30,000 yuan every year to buy daily necessities and distribute red envelopes to people cured of leprosy. Not only that, more and more artists from the Democratic League, people in the literary and art circles, and young students have joined in, delivering programs and showing love to the "leprosy village".
Just in January this year, Wang Jiabao went there with more than a dozen children and completed another warm agreement. “Now we don’t have to worry about food and clothing, but what we lack is spiritual comfort. This is the power that literature and art can bring,” he said.

At that time, he and his team members held traditional national instruments such as erhu and suona and played the Chinese rock "Ma Deng Tune" adapted from the Ningbo fishing village tune.
"Before the show started, many people thought we would perform traditional songs such as 'Jasmine' and 'Butterfly Lovers'. They didn't expect it to be in a rock style. At that time, many foreign audiences were amazed at the diversity and innovation of Chinese culture." Chai Yunzhe said.
