"He (Gates - ed.) doesn't say that anymore. I don't know what he said on Sunday, but he didn't say that at all yesterday," Trump told reporters at the White House.

Gates previously said in a television interview that the development of AI could lead to events that could kill a billion people.

The US President, for his part, called such concerns fraudulent and compared them with expectations of global warming. According to Trump, AI, which he officially renamed “superintelligence,” can solve problems, including those of a medical nature.
