A man with a pistol was detained in a clinic in the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg

On the evening of September 3, an unknown man with a pistol came with threats to the city clinic in the Frunzensky district.

The clinic staff pressed the panic button, and police officers detained the man.

A traumatic pistol was confiscated from the man, no one was injured, an investigation is underway.

St. PETERSBURG, September 3 - RIA Novosti. The police detained a man with a pistol who came with threats to the city clinic in the Frunzensky district, reports the press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

“On the evening of September 3, an unknown man entered a medical facility on Budapestskaya Street and began making threats, showing off a pistol. Having assessed the situation, the staff of the medical facility acted competently in the situation and immediately pressed the panic button,” the press service said.

External police squads were sent to the clinic. Police patrol officers stopped the man's actions, neutralized him and detained him. A traumatic pistol was confiscated from the man. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, added the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“The detainee is currently being held at the police department. An inspection is being carried out after which a decision established by law will be made against the man,” the department’s press service noted.
