The European Commission reminded Kyiv of the need for reforms to obtain funding

The European Commission sent letters to Kyiv reminding them of the need to carry out reforms to allocate further funding, EC spokesman Guillaume Mercier said.

“European Commissioner (for Economic Affairs Valdis - ed.) Dombrovskis and European Commissioner (for Enlargement Marta - ed.) Kos last week sent letters to the Speaker of Parliament, as well as the Prime Minister, in which they clearly reminded of this point, the importance of working on reforms,” he said at a briefing in Brussels.

The budgetary part of European funding for Ukraine is provided subject to a number of conditions, including those related to the rule of law, the fight against corruption, economic sustainability and the implementation of reforms agreed with the EU.
