Chinese players Chen Yuxi/Lu Wei won the women's synchronized 10-meter platform gold medal, and Wang Zongyuan/Zheng Jiuyuan won the men's synchronized 3-meter springboard gold medal.

Since its first participation in 1974, the Chinese diving team has not lost a single Asian Games gold medal and has won a total of 90 gold medals, and 10 gold medals will be decided in this event. On the first match day, Chen Yuxi/Lu Wei and Wang Zongyuan/Zheng Jiuyuan took the lead.
