The consumer market continues to heat up during the National Day holiday, and cultural and tourism experience has become a new growth point

During the National Day holiday, consumer markets in various places continued to heat up. From key business districts to rural gatherings, from catering and accommodation to cultural tourism experiences, the rising fireworks reflect the potential of my country’s holiday consumption. Scenic spots no longer rely solely on tickets, and tourists no longer just visit the attractions. The holiday consumption chain continues to extend, continuously injecting strong momentum into economic development.

During the National Day holiday, the water, land and air performances at the Qingming Shanghe Garden Scenic Area in Kaifeng, Henan Province lasted from early morning to night, and the live performances such as "Yue Fei Gun Challenge Xiao Liang Wang" and "Tokyo Defense" were full. The scenic spot has also launched immersive cultural tourism projects such as "Along the River During the Qingming Festival - Song Dynasty Banquet" and "Song Dynasty - Tokyo Dream". Tourists are no longer satisfied with the casual check-in tour, and are more willing to pay for culture and experience. Experiential and immersive tourism directly drives the increase in secondary consumption in the park.

From “selling tickets” to “selling experiences”, Kaifeng’s cultural tourism market is constantly transforming and upgrading. The popularity of cultural tourism continues to rise, and passenger flow dividends are rapidly transmitted along the upstream and downstream industrial chains, injecting new growth momentum into related industries such as accommodation, catering, and entertainment.

In the Tanxi Mountain Scenic Area in Zichuan District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, two new cultural and tourism landmarks, the Queen's Tower and the Kilometer Cloud Corridor, were officially opened to the public. Relying on the unique cliff and canyon resources, the scenic spot connects cliff entertainment, theme performances and cliff leisure consumption points to create a unique high-altitude vacation model, attracting a large number of tourists from inside and outside the province to come and spend time.

The new business formats have lengthened the cultural tourism consumption chain and accelerated the transformation of scenic spots from traditional short-distance sightseeing to overnight in-depth vacation models. Three days before the holiday, the occupancy rate of cliff hotels and forest cabins in the scenic area was close to 100%, and the average length of stay of tourists increased by 40% compared with previous years. This has also effectively stimulated the continued increase in orders for B&Bs and catering agritainments in surrounding rural areas, and has truly transformed the tourist flow in scenic spots into an increase in local cultural tourism consumption.

Behind the rising fireworks is the continuous innovation of consumer supply and the accelerated release of consumer demand. New scenarios and new business formats are constantly emerging, and the effects of consumption-promoting policies continue to appear. Holiday consumption is becoming an important support for expanding domestic demand and stabilizing growth, further consolidating the foundation of my country's domestic demand.
