A passenger car flipped over at the starting point of National 1 Keelung End, and the 30-year-old female driver was trapped for a time

A white car was traveling on National Highway 1 northbound at 0km (Keelung end) this afternoon (July 7) when it lost control and overturned. All four wheels were upside down and the whole car was lying on the roadway. A female driver, about 30 years old, was trapped in the car. Fortunately, firefighters quickly rescued the female driver and sent her to hospital for treatment. Her life was not in danger.

At 3:27 this afternoon, the Keelung City Fire Department received a notification from the City Police Department that a rollover accident occurred at the starting point of the northbound National Highway 1, and immediately dispatched multiple ambulances and equipment trucks from the Renai Detachment and Nuannuan Detachment to the rescue.

Firefighters arrived at the scene at 3:39 and confirmed that a female driver was trapped in the car, and immediately began rescue operations. After 6 minutes of full rescue efforts by the police and firefighters, the female driver was successfully rescued and the ambulance personnel took over the treatment. The female driver was conscious but had severe pain in her hip area. The ambulance staff temporarily relieved her and sent her to Keelung Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare for treatment.

The cause of the entire rollover accident and the responsibility for the accident are yet to be clarified by police investigation.
