Huangpu Customs: From January to May, the export volume of lithium-ion batteries in the jurisdiction exceeded 10 billion yuan

China News Service, Guangzhou, June 26 (Xu Qingqing, Li Yiming) According to news from Huangpu Customs on the 26th, from January to May this year, Huangpu Customs exported 10.322 billion yuan of lithium-ion batteries, a year-on-year increase of 35.05%.

Guangdong Yuyang New Energy Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech and specialized new enterprise focusing on the research and development, production, sales and service of lithium battery energy storage. Its products are widely used in households, industry and commerce, etc., and its products are distributed in more than 80 countries and regions around the world. Its independently developed 10 kilowatt-hour household energy storage battery can sustainably provide stable power supply for a family of four for five hours and is exported to Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other regions.

As one of the "Three New Products" exported from my country, lithium batteries belong to Category 9 dangerous goods. Their packaging containers must pass performance inspections, and they must also apply for packaging use identification from the local customs before export. During customs inspection, problems such as irregular cargo labeling and incomplete accompanying documents will affect the export of goods.

In order to facilitate the compliant and efficient export of new energy batteries, Dongguan Changan Customs, a subsidiary of Huangpu Customs, proactively contacted large lithium battery manufacturers such as Yuyang New Energy Company and adopted convenient measures such as document pre-examination, appointment inspection, and advance declaration.

Huang Shuen, deputy section chief of the territorial supervision section of Chang'an Customs in Dongguan, said: "We rely on the reform of the smart supervision business scenario for export lithium battery packaging, use AI intelligent review technology, and superimpose a rapid certificate issuance mechanism to achieve same-day delivery, same-day review, and same-day evidence collection for export declarations."

The relevant person in charge of Guangdong Yuyang New Energy Company said that under the smart supervision business scenario of export lithium battery packaging, the company can directly contact the customs as soon as the goods are ready. The shipping time is more flexible and the export efficiency is greatly improved.
