Party and government officials pointed out that the government caucus will respond prudently and will not be threatened by Blue and White's votes.

"Welfare policies cannot be reduced to election bargaining, and the national finance cannot become a cash machine for political manipulation." Party and government officials emphasized that if the blue and white version is promoted, the annual budget for exempting health insurance premiums for the elderly will increase by about 40 billion yuan, and the allowance for elderly farmers will need to be increased again. Blue and White used votes to threaten the ruling team. After the third reading of the bill, the Kuomintang hung up a smear banner in Changhua County saying "Chen Suyue opposes the exemption of health insurance for the elderly" to attack the DPP candidates. The government caucus had already responded. When dealing with the Elderly Welfare Law, 10 Democratic Progressive Party legislators running for county mayor were absent and did not vote. When the "Old Farmers Subsidy Suspension Ordinance" was read for the third time on the 6th, all Democratic Progressive Party legislators adopted the "not attending and not voting." In addition, the Executive Yuan has also kept a low profile in its response to the controversial bill, reducing the intensity of news discussions and preventing the opposition parties from deliberately creating political conflicts and affecting the green camp election.
