The preparation plan for the 100th anniversary of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug will be formed before December 1, it will combine official, cultural and infrastructure projects, the press service of the government of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug reported.

On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the region's founding in 2030.

According to the press service, to prepare for the anniversary, a draft federal organizing committee has been formed, which will include representatives of government bodies, heads of fuel and energy companies and public organizations. The Committee will have to approve a preparation plan in three areas: official protocol events, socio-cultural and educational initiatives, as well as infrastructure projects.

“Authorities and organizations will send their proposals to the action plan by October 20, 2026; the final preparation plan for the district’s anniversary will be formed by December 1,” the statement says.

The regional government also noted that in parallel, the Yamal-100 people's program is being formed in the district. All residents of Yamal could submit their ideas through the Cloudberry application and the Cozy Yamal offices. In total, more than 3 thousand were received.

“The centenary is a large-scale milestone to which we must arrive with a qualitatively new standard of living in every city and village. That is why we are forming the Yamal-100 development program together with the Yamal residents. Our task is to ensure that real changes are behind the preparation for the holiday,” the message quotes the words of the Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Dmitry Artyukhov.
