KRASNODAR, October 2 – RIA Novosti. Kuban deputies have expanded support measures for SVO participants and their families, according to the official website of the Legislative Assembly (ZSK) of the Krasnodar Territory.

“At the next plenary meeting, the deputies of the ZSK considered in the first reading changes to the law “On Education in the Krasnodar Territory”. In particular, it is proposed to consolidate provisions establishing support measures for children of participants in a special military operation,” says a message published on the website of the regional parliament.

It is noted that the support measures proposed by the bill and considered during the 87th session of the regional legislative assembly will help provide one-time free meals to schoolchildren and college students. In addition, children of SVO participants will have the right to free attendance at additional general education programs.

Amendments to the regional law also provide for the right to prioritize the enrollment of children of this category of citizens in the state (municipal) educational organizations closest to the family’s place of residence, including in after-school groups. Additional preferences also apply to partial exemption from fees for supervision and care of children in after-school groups.

According to the head of the Kuban Legislative Assembly, Yuri Burlachko, legal measures strengthening the social security of military families give them confidence that while they are protecting the interests of the country on the front line, the state is taking care of the stability of the present and future of their loved ones.
