Yangmingshan Marathon starts on November 1, Yangjin Highway and roads around Qingtiangang are closed

The 2026 Yangmingshan National Park Marathon will be held in November, and Beijing City has announced traffic control information.

The National Parks Department of the Ministry of the Interior and the Road Running Association of the Republic of China have scheduled the "2026 Taiwan National Park Marathon - Yangmingshan" event on November 1 (Sunday) at Zhongshan Tower, Xinyuan No. 1 Bridge, Jingshan Road Lane 101, Zhonghu Warfare Road (Zhuzihu Road) and Yangjin Highway on Provincial Highway 2A in Taipei City. To maintain traffic order and event safety, the Taipei City Government Police Department will implement traffic control and prohibit vehicle traffic.

The North City Police Traffic Brigade stated that the road sections and times to be controlled on November 1 are:

1. From 5:40 to 12:00: Control all lanes at the entrance of Zhongshan Tower (Section 2 of Yangming Road) and Xinyuan Bridge No. 1 (from Yangming Road to Lane 71, Lane 101, Jingshan Road).

2. From 5:40 to 11:40: All lanes of Lane 101, Jingshan Road (from Lane 71, Lane 101, Jingshan Road to Yangjin Highway, Provincial Line A, Line 2) will be controlled.

3. From 5:40 to 8:00: all lanes from Guanliangshuikeng Parking Lot 2 to Qingtiangang Parking Lot.

4. From 6 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: Control the entire Yangjin Highway on Route 2A (from the intersection of Zhonghu Warfare Road to the front of Chongguang Police Station, Jinshan Branch, New Taipei City Government Police Station) toward Jinshan.

5. 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Control all lanes of the Yangjin Highway on Line 2A (from the Chongguang Police Station, Jinshan Branch, New Taipei City Government Police Station to the intersection of Zhonghu Warfare Road) heading towards Yangmingshan.

During the event, passers-by are asked to avoid traffic control sections and change routes in advance. The planned diversion route is as follows:

1. "Traffic from Yangmingshan to Jinshan" please divert to City Highway 101A, City Highway 101, and Provincial Highway 2 to Jinshan City.

2. "Traffic from Jinshan to Yangmingshan or Taipei City" please divert to Provincial Highway 2, Municipal Highway 101, and Municipal Highway 101A to Yangmingshan, or Provincial Highway 2, Provincial Highway 62, and National Highway 1 to Taipei City.

3. The Qingtiangang parking lot will be closed during the control period. Please park your vehicles in surrounding parking areas instead.

During the event, traffic control will be implemented along the track, and vehicles will be prohibited from passing. Bus waiting areas within the control area will suspend services. If the public wants to inquire about bus diversion routes, please use the Taipei City Public Transport Department website http://pto.gov.taipei to check relevant information.

The traffic brigade stated that in order to maintain the safety and smoothness of road traffic in this city and reduce the inconvenience caused by traffic control to passers-by, passers-by are urged to pay attention to the police radio station's road condition inserts, and obey the instructions and guidance of police officers and volunteers on duty at each intersection to jointly maintain traffic safety and order.
