Putin congratulated Murmansk on the 110th anniversary of the hero city

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Governor of the Murmansk Region Andrei Chibis and the residents of Murmansk on the 110th anniversary of the hero city of Murmansk.

Putin noted that Murmansk has become a reliable outpost of Russia in the Arctic and a major industrial, transport, scientific, educational and cultural center.

The President expressed confidence in the implementation of strategic plans for the development of the Arctic and the creation of comfortable living conditions for northerners.

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Governor of the Murmansk region Andrei Chibis and the residents of Murmansk on the 110th anniversary of the hero city, noting that over the past years it has become a reliable outpost of Russia in the Arctic; the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.

“I congratulate you on your significant anniversary - the 110th anniversary of the hero city of Murmansk. Over the past years, your city has grown into a large industrial, transport, scientific, educational and cultural center, and has become a reliable outpost of Russia in the Arctic,” the telegram says.

The head of state noted that the residents sincerely love their native Murmansk, are proud of its glorious labor and military history, significant contribution to the Great Victory, honor the wonderful traditions that were created by many generations, and also with their bright achievements and aspiration for the future, they contribute to the solution of large-scale tasks for the benefit of the Murmansk region and the whole country.

Putin expressed confidence that all strategic plans related to the development of the Arctic and the creation of modern, comfortable living conditions for northerners there will be implemented.
