[Reporter Liang Weiming/Taipei Report] After the Nagoya Asian Games, the "115th National Games" hosted by the Ministry of Sports and hosted by the Taoyuan City Government will be held at the Taoyuan Municipal Comprehensive Stadium on October 17. "Taiwanese Butterfly King" Wang Guanhong, who just won the gold medal at the Asian Games, was invited to participate in water lifesaving, hoping to use practical actions to spark a national sports craze. The public is also welcome to come and cheer for the contestants.

This year's National Democracy Movement attracted more than 13,000 team members and sports enthusiasts from 22 counties and cities across the country to gather in Taoyuan to participate in the grand event. Among them, the age of the players spanned different generations. The youngest was a 6-year-old player competing in the dance sports competition, and the oldest player was an 88-year-old player competing in the wooden ball competition. There are also internationally renowned contestants, such as Wang Guanhong, who just won the men's 200-meter butterfly gold medal at the 2026 Aimeo Furuya Asian Games. He is taking advantage of the momentum of swimming at the 28-year Chinese Asian Games and is about to have a trial in the water lifesaving event. As for the Tokyo Olympics archery men's team silver medal Tang Zhijun, he will also challenge field archery and compete on the water and land stage of the National Games.

The National Sports Administration of the Ministry of Sports promotes the national sports policy and continues to work hand in hand with local governments. It said that this year's National Games includes competitions such as tug-of-war, which won the World Games for six consecutive years, and the world's top three qiaogu ball and korfball, which showcase Taiwan's strong sports strengths. Two new competitions, "aerobic gymnastics" and "unicycle", are added with Taoyuan's local characteristics, giving the Chinese people a refreshing experience.
