The Ministry of Transportation's budget for next year's "Mass Rapid Transit System Construction Plan" allocates 49.9 billion yuan, an increase of 5.5 times compared with this year, including more than 20 billion yuan in the two cities. The Taipei City Rapid Transit Engineering Bureau stated that the central government is expected to subsidy about 13.2 billion yuan for Taipei City's MRT construction in 2016, including the construction funds submitted by the city for central subsidies next year and the shortfall of the Ministry of Transportation's insufficient subsidy this year. The MRT Bureau pointed out that in 2016, the central government is expected to subsidy about 13.2 billion yuan for the Taipei MRT construction in 2016, of which about 6 billion yuan is the shortfall of the Ministry of Transportation in 2015 that did not fully subsidy the Taipei MRT, and the other approximately 7.2 billion yuan is the construction funds submitted by the city government for central subsidies in 2016. As of 2016, the central government has fully allocated subsidies for Taipei MRT construction.

The MRT Bureau mentioned that the construction of the MRT 6 Line 2.0 has gradually entered the peak of the construction phase, and the funding implementation is also at the peak period. Funding requirements are compiled according to the actual project progress. If the central subsidy funds are not fully received, it may affect the overall construction schedule. Thanks to the central government's support for the Taipei MRT, the city government will maintain good project quality and monitor the progress of the project, so that the MRT can be completed as soon as possible to serve the citizens and build a complete rail network.
