World Standards Day 2026 is coming, and the forum aims to explore how artificial intelligence can reshape the industry standardization model.
China News Service, Beijing, October 13 (Reporter Liu Liang) On October 13, on the occasion of World Standards Day 2026, the 2026 New Industry Standardization Pilot Forum opened in Beijing. At the forum, the world's first standard vertical large-scale model "Tongdao" announced its upgrade.
Standards are the "passport" for industrial development, and artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the development and application model of standards. It is reported that the upgraded standard large model "Tongdao" 3.0 will open a new standardization paradigm for human-machine collaboration, which can provide services such as question and answer related knowledge in standard fields, standardized language polishing (slogan polishing), standard content expansion, standard text generation, and standard AI accompanying reading.
On the same day, the forum also released the general report "New Industry Standardization Development Report (2026)" and 4 future industry standardization research reports.
Among them, the "Research Report on Ethical Governance of Embodied Intelligence" directly faces the new challenges brought by smart devices from the virtual digital world to the real physical space, and builds a full life cycle governance system integrating institutions, technology, and enterprise implementation to provide the first set of ethical operating standards for embodied intelligence from the laboratory to the real world.
The "Brain-Computer Interface Industry and Standardization Analysis Report" focuses on the critical window period when my country's brain-computer interface leaps from technological breakthroughs to industrialization. It systematically benchmarks industry needs, provides regulatory authorities and industry entities with a clear standardization implementation path, and opens up the "last mile" of brain-computer interface standards from "usable" to "easy to use."
The "Biomanufacturing Standardization Research Report (2026)" uses the "multidimensional reasoning" methodology throughout the entire biomanufacturing chain, draws a "full chain standards map", and plans a forward-looking standard roadmap for 2026-2035, laying a standardization foundation for biomanufacturing to move from scattered innovation to systematic development.
The "Hydrogen Energy Industry Standardization Roadmap in the Industrial and Information Fields" is based on the key node of the hydrogen energy industry from demonstration exploration to large-scale development, focusing on the two major directions of hydrogen energy equipment and industrial applications, accelerating the completion of standard shortcomings, building a hydrogen energy equipment and industrial application standard system, and setting standards for the large-scale and commercial implementation of the hydrogen energy industry.
On the same day, the forum also held the establishment ceremony of the National Solar Photovoltaic Energy System Standardization Technical Committee's Space Photovoltaic Standards Special Group, and the launching ceremony of the Industrial and Information Technology Legal and Compliance Construction Standardization Working Group's Quality Enterprise, Automobile, Lithium Battery, and Photovoltaic Compliance Special Group. Two important standards were released, namely "General Technical Requirements for Artificial Intelligence Operating Systems" and "Artificial Intelligence Operating System Authority Management Requirements".
It is reported that the establishment of the space photovoltaic special group will extend the standardization work from the ground industry to the space economic track, and provide energy standard support for satellite Internet and space computing power by building a cross-border collaboration platform between photovoltaics and aerospace.

Anthropic, an American AI company, announced new protective measures to significantly reduce the risk of competitors using "model distillation" to copy Claude's capabilities by restricting model inference data acquisition. The company also named China Zhipu AI as having tried to develop its own model in this way and has currently blocked tens of thousands of related accounts.

Huawei has shipped over 100 million devices using its Kirin processors since 2023. The company also announced the Kirin 9050 series, featuring proprietary LogicFolding architecture, and confirmed testing of the upcoming Kirin 2027 chip is on track.

Pegatron will announce its next-generation AI infrastructure layout at the 2026 Open Compute Project Global Summit, connecting digital twins and physical manufacturing through the Huida DSX AI factory platform, and will showcase fully liquid-cooled cabinet-level AI platforms such as Vera Rubin NVL72.

Chinese AI chipmaker Iluvatar CoreX unveiled its Tiangai 300 IXL144 supernode system at the 2026 CIIF in Shanghai, packing 144 GPUs into a single cabinet to boost AI computing power amid US export controls.
