(Jeonju = Yonhap News) Reporter Kim Dong-cheol = Jeonju City Council in Jeollabuk-do announced on the 4th that as a result of the counting of votes in the 9th national simultaneous local election held on the 3rd, a total of 36 elected officials, including 32 local constituency members and 4 proportional representatives, were confirmed.

There are 17 first-term lawmakers, and 19 senior lawmakers have been re-elected or more following the 12th National Assembly.

By political party, the Democratic Party of Korea secured the most seats with 26, followed by the Fatherland Innovation Party with 5 seats, the Independents with 4 seats, and the Progressive Party with 1 seat.

By gender, 24 men and 12 women were elected.

By age group, the majority were people in their 30s (11 people) and those in their 60s or older (8 people), including two elected candidates in their 20s.

The most elected candidates are Yun-cheol Kim (Gas District) and Myeong-Cheol Choi (District La), who were elected to the fifth term.

The oldest is President-elect Kim Hyeon-deok (Ma constituency) (70), and the youngest is President-elect Shin Yu-jeong (26), who won the youngest title for two consecutive years following the election four years ago.
